Details of A12 overnight closures for the weeks commencing 22nd and 29th January 2018 have been revealed.
Kier Maintenance have released a statement advising that closures will be in place for sections of the A12, to allow them to carry out resurfacing works on behalf of Highways England.
The work is proposed to take place over 5 nights and will see closures from 8pm until 6am.
Commencing Monday 22nd the A12 northbound will be fully closed between junctions 27 (Colchester central) and 29 (Ardleigh Crown). Traffic will be diverted via A1232 and A133.
This closure then moves to Junctions 29 to 30 (Park Lane) northbound from Friday 26th January. Work is expected to last one night and access to Park Lane will not be affected.
Traffic will be diverted via the A1232, A133 and A137 before joining the A14 at junction 56 (Wherstead). Road users are warned that this will add considerable time to their journey.
The following week, works commence on resurfacing of the southbound carriageway. From Monday 29th, the A12 will be fully closed southbound between junctions 27 and 30 (Stratford St Mary) for 5 nights, between 8pm and 6am.
Traffic will be diverted via A1232 and A133.
