Police had cordoned off Osborne Street as an Essex Police investigation was underway outside the Gala Bingo/Bus Station in Colchester.
Traffic delays were expected and bus routes had been diverted.
Police signs were stopping traffic from entering at St. Botolph Street and Mersea Road roundabout.
Special Constable Dan Atkinson confirmed in a tweet early this morning “Incident last night on Osborne street Colchester. Road is closed to pedestrians and vehicles, please plan accordingly.”

Osborne Street was re-opened shortly after 09:40am.
Essex Police have now confirmed a 17-year-old boy was attacked and stabbed in the early hours of Saturday morning and are treating the incident as an attempted murder.
