Essex Police are investigating the attempted murder of a 17 year-old male who was attacked and stabbed in Colchester.
The incident happened in Osborne Street, Colchester at 12:30am on Saturday 20th January 2018.
The 17 year-old victim was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries, however is now in a non-critical condition.
As spokesperson for Essex Ambulance Service said “We were called to reports of a stabbing in Osborne Street, Colchester at 0.27am on Saturday 20th January.
“An ambulance and ambulance officer attended the scene to treat one patient, a 17 year old boy, with serious injuries. He was taken to hospital for further treatment.”
Essex Police have this afternoon said they are looking to speak with two people about an attempted murder.

Detective Inspector Rob Kirby said: “This is a very serious incident, which resulted in a substantial injury to the victim.
“We would like to speak to both Ben and Tate about what happened and ask them to get in contact with us or come in to their nearest police station.
“Likewise, if anyone has seen either of the teenagers or has any information about where they are, please let us know.”
Essex Police believe this was a “targeted attack” and “do not believe there is a threat to the wider public.”
Osborne Street was cordoned off until 9:40am whilst Essex Police conducted an investigation.
