Visitors welcomed to Castle Christmas open evening

COLCHESTER: The annual Castle Christmas Open Evening will be taking place next week as part of the festive fun in the town.

Visitors are being welcomed to the special free annual open evening, taking place from 3pm until 8.30pm on Wednesday 12th December.

Mince pies and entertainment has been promised along with Christmas carols and an opportunity for the children to meet Santa.

Cllr. Tim Young (Lab), Portfolio Holder for Culture, said: “Visiting the Castle at Christmas is rather magical, the whole building takes on a really charming, festive atmosphere and is a brilliant place to take the family over the holidays. The Open Evening is a very exciting event for the Castle and will be buzzing with a great yuletide spirit!”

Entry to the Castle will be free and children will be able to see Santa and receive a gift for a £5 charge.

Additional Santa visits can be booked on selected dates until 23rd December by calling 01206 282939,
