Cyclist rushed to hospital following collision

STANWAY: A cyclist has been rushed to hospital following a collision.

Police were called to reports a cyclist and a car were involved in a collision just before 2:40pm on Wednesday (7th November).

The incident happened in London Road, Stanway between the junctions of Turkey Cock Lane and Church Lane.

Police closed the road whilst the emergency services, including the air ambulance, attended the scene, transporting the patients to Addenbrookes Hospital by air.

Essex Police said: “A cyclist and a Ford Focus were involved in the incident just before 2.40pm.”

East of England Ambulance have since confirmed the cyclist was a woman, her condition remains as unknown.
