Firefighters tackle blaze at town centre pub


Firefighters have been called to a town centre fire in a public house in Colchester this morning.

Crews have been called to the Kings Arms in Crouch Street Colchester to tackle the blaze, understood to have started on the third floor.


A statement from Essex County Fire service said: “When fire crews arrived they reported the third floor of the building was affected by fire and the fire was spreading to the roof.

“Firefighters are making good progress tackling the fire. The fire is in a building which measures approximately 25m x10m and is affecting the third floor and the roof.”

This incident is on-going.
